"65W" is the most-faked number on a charger box in the local market. A real 65W charger negotiates 65W with a compatible phone on a single USB-C port, verified on a power meter. Many "65W" units peak at 30W and get hot doing it.
Why GaN, and when it's worth it
GaN (gallium nitride) replaces the silicon switching component. It runs cooler and smaller for the same output.
- 45W and above: GaN is worth it. Roughly half the size and noticeably less heat than a silicon charger of the same wattage.
- Below 25W: the difference is small. A plain silicon 20W PD charger is fine and cheaper.
What a good 65W GaN charger looks like

What to check before buying
- Single-port max, not just total. A "65W" charger that only does 65W split across three ports is really a 3× 20W charger.
- Protocols listed — USB PD 3.0, PPS, QC. PPS matters for Samsung Super Fast Charging.
- GaN stated explicitly for 45W+.
- Input 100–240V — every charger we stock accepts this, which matters on unstable mains.
- Foldable pins if it lives in a bag.

The cable caveat
